Defending Your Console

I came across this news article today about a kid who stabbed a burglar with a sword when they tried to steal his PS3. This got me thinking about my Xbox 360. It is one of my most valuable possession. Sure, I have stuff that cost more, but none that I use as often. I think I probably even use my Xbox 360 more than my car. If someone were to try and steal it I would probably try to stop them, assuming I did not think they had a gun. So, my questions for everyone is do you have a possession that you value higher than your gaming console, and if so, what is it?

I also use Xbox 360 the most out of all my tech toys. However, I think I would still rank my PC and DJ gear higher in importance, due to all the data and personal relevance I have attached to those items.

Don't get me wrong, my 360 is a close third place. I would run someone through with my broadsword if they tried to steal it! ;)

I probably value my PC higher than my 360 because it has more data and I used it a bit more than my 360.

My PC is pretty high on my list as well, but since I have everything backed up if it were to get stole I could get it all back. I don't have all my game saves backed up anywhere. Plus I use a computer all day at work so my one at home gets neglected except on the weekend.

No no no and no! Xbox 360 is the most important! I have backups of my PC stuff (well, the most important anyway) but not of my save games! Fair enough, I can always get my gamertag (and gamerscore) back...but not all the stuff stored on the hard drive. My in-game profiles. My game progress (including my Viva Pinata garden and all those cute Mousemallows!! lol, j/k!) But seriously, I wouldn't like to think what I'd do if someone tried to steal my 360! ='(

As for a PS3, the kid should've been thanking the guy instead of stabbing him, lol! Any kid unfortunate enough to be in possession of a PS3 should be glad to see the back end of it! ;)

(And I don't oppose the claim that I'm a fanboy...it's actually seen as a compliment, lol!)

Hmmm.. Good question. My 360 is also used more than any of my other gadgets. When I think about the time invested in games it'd be gutting to lose the saves and I would defend it as long as the other guy was smaller than me :o)

I like my 360, but I think I would rather save my video gear and PC. That stuff would take me longer to replace. Even though if they did steal my video camera it would be a great reason to get the Panny HVX 200.
